Professional advice

Settlement choices can have serious tax, legal and financial consequences. LCAG does not give professional advice. Consider speaking to an adviser experienced in disguised remuneration and Loan Charge cases.

Before responding to HMRC

  • Do not ignore deadlines, but do not rush into irreversible decisions without advice.
  • Keep every letter, statement, payslip, contract, promoter email and HMRC communication.
  • Ask HMRC to explain calculations clearly and identify which legal route they rely on.
  • Consider whether your case involves settlement history, closed years, employer/PSC issues, insolvency, loan recall threats or vulnerability.
